This project shown here was a collaboration with R.E.D (Resin Epoxy Designs) as we painted the kitchen before R.E.D came in and worked their magic on the worktops and splashbacks. You can see from the photos how much of a huge transformation it was.

The kitchen was painted in Farrow & Ball Pigeon 25 which is a strong blue grey colour named after the colour of the bird often sighted around the London landscape. This complements the resin which was a combination of white with grey veins with a bolder design behind the cooker.

Advantages of Resin Worktops over other materials

Resin worktops offer a variety of advantages over other materials such as granite, marble, and quartz. One of the most significant benefits of resin worktops is the durability. Resin is a highly durable material that can withstand heavy use without showing signs of wear and tear. This makes it an excellent choice for busy kitchens and bathrooms.

Another advantage of resin worktops is their versatility. Resin can be moulded into any shape or size, making it easy to create customised worktops that fit your specific needs. Additionally, resin worktops are available in a wide range of colours and finishes, so you can easily find one that complements your existing décor.

Finally, resin worktops are relatively easy to install and maintain so less upheaval compared to removing and re installing a new worktop. Unlike natural stone worktops, resin worktops do not require sealing, polishing, or regular maintenance. They are also less prone to stains and scratches, making them a low-maintenance option for busy homeowners, however they are easy to polish should damage occur.

Resin Worktops Styles and Design Options

Resin worktops come in a variety of styles and design options. From a white and grey marble effect offering a sleek, modern look that is perfect for contemporary kitchens and bathrooms to a full on bright glittery design that stands out amongst the crowd that is perfect in a more commercial environment there is a look for every worktop or countertop out there.

Resin worktops can be customised with a variety of textures and finishes. For example, you can choose a matt finish for a more subtle look or a high-gloss finish for a more dramatic effect. Additionally, resin worktops can be textured to resemble natural stone, giving you the look of granite or marble without the high cost.

StoneFlecks Styles and Design Options

Choosing the right type of paint is essential for achieving professional-looking results when spray painting your kitchen cabinets. When looking at a company to paint your kitchen there are a few questions we want to make sure you ask. First one is what paint they will be using. There are a few options out there but quite a few of them are not suitable for using in an occupied home. We use tried and tested water based systems that are not only safe to use but durable for using on a kitchen.

When choosing paint for your kitchen cabinets, it’s also important to consider the finish. We recommend a 10% sheen which not only looks stunning but also is sensible for using on kitchens. This doesnt show up the finger marks that gloss would and it easier and more practical to keep clean.

Preparing Your Kitchen Cabinets for Painting

StoneFlecks™ is a alternative to resin worktops and is available in a variety of different colours and textures. This products looks like granite but is a paint that can be applied to almost any time of worktop from laminate to granite or marble so is another perfect alternative if you are bored of your dull and outdated worktop. This finish is especially good for office kitchens, rentals or a kitchen in a home ready to sell because it is a really budget friendly alternative to new worktops but still looks great.

Maintenance and Cleaning of Resin Worktops

Resin worktops are relatively easy to maintain and clean. Simply wipe them down with a damp cloth and mild detergent as needed. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the surface of the worktops.

If your worktops become stained, use a non-abrasive cleaner and a soft-bristled brush to remove the stain. For more stubborn stains, a mixture of baking soda and water can be effective.

Cost of Worktop refurbishment and Value for Money

Resin and StoneFlecks™ worktops are available at a range of price points, depending on the design you choose. They can be a fantastic option as mentioned before if you don’t want the upheaval of replacing your existing worktop, want a bespoke design or colour, are renting a property or want to sell and the kitchen is letting the house down.

We know that painting your kitchen or refurbishing worktops can increase the value of your home, making them a smart investment for homeowners who are looking to sell their property in the future.
