Creating a New Look With Spray Painted Kitchens. Check out this project completed in Tonbridge, Kent

In recent years, homeowners have been seeking creative ways to update their kitchens without having to invest in an entirely new space. At the Kitchen Painting Network, we specialise in transforming old, tired kitchens into beautiful, modern spaces through our innovative spray painting techniques. Today, we want to share with you a project we recently completed in Tonbridge, Kent, where we transformed a wooden kitchen into a stunning bright space.

The kitchen had wooden doors and frames which worked well and was on trend when it was installed years ago. Clients had considered a complete renovation but were deterred by the cost and inconvenience. That’s where we stepped in with our spray painting solution.

If you are thinking that a painted kitchen might be worth looking into then just get in touch and we can give you a free, no-obligation quote.

First, we removed all the cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and handles and took them back to the workshop to prepare them for the painting process.

Next, we cleaned and sanded all the surfaces to ensure that the paint would adhere properly. Handle holes were filled because clients had chosen to have new knobs rather than the existing handles.

We prime and paint the first top coats of paint in the workshop to reduce the disruption for our clients which means we are on-site for fewer days.

We then arrived back on site to mask off the areas that were not to be painted, re-fitted the doors then prepared, primed and 1st coated everything.

At this point we drilled the new handle holes, this is because if we get anything wrong or mark the kitchen then we can easily rectify this before the final coat goes on.

The reason we spray final coats in situ is to make sure that we have continuity of colour so everything looks seamless.

Although we mask everything up including your appliances we can remove some of the masking so you can carry on using your kitchen in the evenings. You may need to organise a takeaway or go out one of the evenings as it can get a little messy, but one of the reasons we start all our projects on a Monday is so that your weekends are not disrupted, we know what the house is like over the weekend when everyone is home.

Clients chose a beautiful white from Farrow & Ball called slipper satin. In Farrow & Balls’ words, “This popular off-white takes its name from the delicate colour of silk used in traditional ballet slippers. Without cool blue undertones, Slipper Satin often reads as a pale grey chalk which makes for a perfect neutral on walls with darker Old White woodwork. Pair with other shades from our Traditional Neutrals for a subtle and sophisticated scheme”.

We applied the paint using our high-quality spray equipment, which creates a fantastic finish with no brush or roller marks. The result was stunning; the kitchen was transformed into a modern, stylish space that looked almost as if it were brand new.

Once the painting was complete, we add the new handles. The entire project took just 4 days, and the clients are thrilled with the results. They were amazed at how much of a difference the spray painting made and how it completely transformed their kitchen.
