Before photos of the kitchen.

Take a look at the before photos of this kitchen in Banstead, Surrey before it’s incredible transformation with spray paint. The client had not long purchased the house and the kitchen units were wooden; he was happy with the overall layout of the kitchen, like the handles but felt the room was too dark so looked into the option of painting it.

Our quotes can be done by simply sending over photos or a video of the kitchen itself (don’t worry we will tell exactly what we need), we can quote based on these photos meaning that you don’t have the upheaval or delay in having someone round. We are also more than happy to pop over, have a conversation and take photos ourselves so don’t worry. We now offer 3 pricing options to all clients, so you have the choice of service to work within your budget.

Explanation of the spray paint surrey process used.

Monday – Arrived at the project and removed all doors and drawers to be taken to the workshop. At the workshop, the doors and drawer fronts are thoroughly cleaned and degreased before sanding and spraying the priming coats. We use a system called the PSDR from Paintline to allow us to spray both sides at the same time.

The doors and drawer fronts are then hung in the drying room to dry before being sanded, and first top coats are applied, again with the spray machine and hung to dry.

Tuesday – At the workshop again, we sanded the doors and drawer fronts one final time and did any last filling needed before the final coat is sprayed on the back of the doors. Doors and drawer fronts are then put into the drying room to dry whilst we get all the masking, sanding and tools we need ready to be loaded in the van once the doors are dry.

The doors and drawers and then loaded into the van with everything else, including the spray machine, and we head to the project. Once there, we mask the floor, worktop and surrounding areas to protect from overspray. We then degrease the rest of the kitchen, sand it and re-hang all the door and drawer fronts. The wooden parts of the kitchen are then primed and left to dry overnight.

Wednesday – We arrived back at the project and sand everything, plus fill any areas that need extra attention. We then spray the first top coat of colour to all the areas we primed the previous day and leave it to dry.

Thursday – We arrived back at the project, and it’s back to sanding again. We check over everything to make sure we are good to go with the final coat. We check all the masking and then spray the final coat.

We let this dry before checking everything over and start the unmasking process. We hoover, do any final snags and make sure that everything is clean and tidy before we hand the kitchen back to the client.

*The time to complete the kitchen obviously depends on the size and option chosen at quoting. Each KPN partner may have a slightly different process, as not all have a workshop to work from.
